Blue Headed Macaws are gorgeous birds. These Babies are very tame. They are disease tested for PBFD, Chlymidia, Polyoma, and Avian BornaVirus. The blue-headed macaw is native to eastern Peru, north-western Bolivia, and far western Brazil. All macaws need plenty of energy, though a balanced diet, for good health. Macaws should be fed a formulated (pelleted or extruded) diet as a basis for good nutrition. The diet should be supplemented with fresh fruits and vegetables daily; to add variety and psychological enrichment. Give almonds and pine nuts as treats. Macaws are playful and love to chew. Macaws especially, of all the breeds, should always be provided with toys and wood to chew.
